One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. Huevos rancheros, chilaquiles and peanut butter chocolate cream pie. All amazing. Our server was so friendly. Would recommend to anyone passing through town.
Very nice diner before heading to the Grand Canyon West Side from Las Vegas. Ideal place to get breakfast before driving 2.5 hours. Established in 1992, it is a great local experience. Eggs, pancakes and banana bread were fantastic!
Great affordable and love sitting out on the patio, early morning cool. Generous portions, I don't think anyone can eat a full stack of their pancakes... I would call them flapjacks...biiiiggg flapjacks. Terra cotta mugs. Nothing wrong here for the price...it isn't Vegas culinary so don't expect bunny fru fru food. Staff was awesome.
I stopped in after visiting the Railroad Museum. The pork relanos omelet was delicious. Very cute and quirky decor. A small business that is definitely worth checking out.

This is great place to have brunch if you're heading out to Hoover Dam from Las Vegas. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and they have great homemade pies for dessert. I highly recommend stopping in when your in the area.
Southwest Diner is a place you must try! We went for breakfast. They have a great selection of options, and I loved that the portion sizes were very generous. Our server—his name escapes me, but he was the only gentleman we saw—was friendly and his service was impeccable. He truly made the experience even better. It was the perfect spot for my family since they offer both American and Mexican-style dishes. Highly recommended—treat yourself!
Had a great experience here. Onion rings were excellent. Had carne asada tacos which were very good. Nice seasonings that all added just the right heat and flavor. Homemade coconut cream pie was just like grandma’s.
We’ve lived in Henderson for years and can’t believe it took us this long to finally try Southwest Diner in Boulder City. We stopped in for breakfast, and everything was excellent. I had the Eggs Benedict, my wife had the biscuits and gravy, and our son had the kids’ French toast with bacon. Everything came out hot, fresh, and generously portioned. The highlight was definitely the homemade cinnamon roll, which was delicious and easily big enough to share. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the whole place had a great hometown diner feel. We can definitely see why Southwest Diner has such a loyal following. We’ll absolutely be back!
